Jaclyn Journey

An entry from Jaclyn’s childhood journal accurately predicted her future as a ‘deziner.’ After graduating with a degree in Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles, Jaclyn worked in visual merchandising at Anthropologie. When she realized that her design and styling interests extended far beyond store windows, she started Jaclyn Journey Weddings in 2010. She uses this same staging experience to set the scene for weddings – crafting unique, stand out spaces that compliment her clients, their history, traditions and interests.

Jaclyn is a old soul with a modern spirit.

Jaclyn and her husband Chris married in 2011 and have a son, Kit Thomas.  Her passions include long dinners with friends and family, good wine, and traveling with her family.

Amanda brings an out-of-the-box fresh perspective for design to the Journey + Jacobs Design Studio.

With a degree from Sullivan University’s College of Technology and Design acclaimed Interior Design program, Amanda has honed her innate ability to imagine a space and bring it to life. Her natural instincts in design lend to creating a space that is both sophisticated and inviting. She loves mixing her client’s personal pieces with antiques and new items, to create a cohesive and timeless feel. Her goal is a home that feels perfectly intimate.

A mother of three, Amanda is a pro-multitasker and never shies away from a challenge. Her resourcefulness, drive and natural aptitude make her an invaluable asset to clients who are looking for something fresh, personal and new. Through a collaboration with architects, landscape designers, builders and craftsmen, Amanda can capably shape a vision into a reality. Every project, small or large, receives the full benefit of her designer’s eye, resulting in an exceptional final result.

When she’s not working to make beautiful spaces, Amanda can be found spending time with her husband Steve and her three kids, Nina, Penelope and Basil, playing board games and singing together.
